The property is 8500 m². The upper part (approx.1,000m²) is fenced. The terrace between the pool and the house is approx. 200m². From there you can admire the sea of lights in Málaga or watch the cruise ships entering the port. A large lounge couch, a dining table for 8 people, 4 deck chairs and a small table are available outdoors. The pergola provides additional sun protection for shade on the couch and a sun sail for the dining area. A grill is also available.
The pool has an interesting shape. A bench is built into the curve so that you can enjoy your glass (of course with a plastic cup) in the pool with the view. The size is approx. 10 x 5m. The view from the pool is breathtaking. With good visibility you can see Africa. With normal visibility you can see the Mediterranean Sea, Malaga and the gorge with wine, olives and almonds. The pool is at ground level to the house. The pool technology was renewed in 2019. All functions of the pool can now be controlled via the Internet. The pool light can be adjusted individually. The pool does not use chlorine.
The view from Villa Axarquia is phenomenal. You can see the Bay of Malaga and Rincon de la Victoria. At the same time you look down in a gorge of vineyards, olive and almond trees. At night you can see the sea of lights from Malaga. The view is described in many travel guides. With good visibility you can even see the African coast. From the entrance of the villa you have a beautiful view of the mountain La Maroma (2065m), the highest mountain of the Axarquia and the village Moclinejo.
The video was recorded before the renovation
In the living room there is a large corner couch and a coffee table right by the fireplace. From there you can enjoy the view of Malaga and watch TV (2000 programs), listen to music (CD, DVD, MP3, I-Pod) or watch films (Apple TV, Soundbar). Under the stairs there is an additional toilet and a closet with games. The shelf wall contains hundreds of books.
The dining room consists of a large wooden table with 6 chairs. The table is expandable for a total of 12 people. The room is next to the open kitchen and forms a unit with the living room. The dining room is normally only used in winter, otherwise you dine outdoors. From the dining room it goes to the terrace. All windows have a view of the Mediterranean and the garden and sometimes also of Africa. New panoramic windows were installed in 2019.
There are 2 bedrooms. One has a large built-in closet with a safe. The access to the large bathroom is directly at the bedroom (en-suite). The bed is 2x1.80m. The mattresses have just been replaced. There is also a fold-out double sofa bed in the room. For example, 2 children could sleep here. A small desk with an armchair and a table with 2 armchairs are also here.
The other bedroom has a double bed from Japan, a built-in closet and 2 bedside tables, each with a lamp. The bedroom also has its own bathroom, which goes directly from the bedroom.
The view from the beds in both bedrooms into nature, the sea, Malaga and Africa is breathtaking. The photos can only give a small impression.
There are 2 bathrooms en-suite and a guest toilet in the living room. The large bathroom has direct access to the large bedroom. It has tile to the ceiling and marble flooring. There are 2 sinks with a large mirror and 2 cupboards with drawers. The shower was recently renewed and enlarged. There is also a large corner bath and a toilet in the bathroom.
The small bathroom has direct access to the smaller bedroom. It has high ceilings and a marble floor. There are 2 sinks with a large mirror and 2 cupboards with drawers. From the bath you have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea and the beautiful landscape.
The kitchen is on the lower floor and is equipped with everything you need; Fridge, freezer, ceramic hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, espresso machine, blender, toaster, rice cooker, kettle and all the necessary small electrical appliances. In addition, there is a small bodega (wine storage) in the kitchen (picture above). The kitchen is open to the dining room and living room. The kitchen is the only room in Villa Axarquia whose floor is not made of marble. The reason for this is that certain stains cannot be removed in marble (e.g. red wine).
